Tehran is willing to resume atomic negotiations with Washington on condition that it is treated with "respect" and "honor", Tehran's foreign minister has stated.

Abbas Araghchi said exclusively dialogue was effective, and disclosed new appeals had been made by go-betweens to restart negotiations with the American leadership. He asserted Iran possessed no undeclared nuclear sites, and Iran had not yet reached a point to authorize the global atomic watchdog to inspect struck enrichment centers for safety concerns.

Walking a Challenging Course

Araghchi is navigating a challenging course since Iran does not want be perceived to be operating from a position of weakness, and he consistently maintained that Iran had emerged more resilient militarily and mentally from the joint assault on its atomic facilities in June.

Afterward, European countries exercised their authority to reinstate global restrictions, but Iran maintains they have not had a significant effect.

Tehran representatives said they felt they had reached a "ideal resolution" to the nuclear fuel concern in prior discussions, when it was settled an Iran-based consortium with US participation could process nuclear material.
