In a bizarre partnership that challenges usual expectations, the game developer has revealed an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, including free bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Mission Disclosed
According to the authorized release, "An unusual encounter leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where hints of banned ceremonies and monstrous metamorphoses resonate through the obscurity." The storyline introduces a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a hidden sect.
The questline focuses on "strange experiments and a terrifying adversary" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Familiar Settings and Metamorphoses
The teaser showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview concludes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, likely the captive, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Items and Extra Features
Players who accomplish the quest will obtain an unique katana in addition to several artifacts secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
- Titan-themed outfit for Yasuke
- Mikasa attire for Naoe

Latest Free Story Update
This update also adds the game's third no-cost story episode, titled "A Puzzlement."
